Summary Tests, calibrates, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs integrated control systems and electronic equipment and instrumentation manufactured by FluidIQS with additional engineering and programming tasks as needed by performing the following duties, and is a professional presence in representing FluidIQS.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Performs factory testing, installation, maintenance, calibration and field repair of control panels and MCCs, VFDs, I & C equipment.


Performs factory functional testing of programmed control systems, including PLCS, HMI and SCADA.


Develops engineered solutions and implements solutions to resolve customer issues.


Processes calibration documentation in a timely manner.


Modifies PLC and HMI applications in the field.


Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on plant instrumentation and equipment.


Uses NIST-traceable calibration equipment to perform precision comparisons.


Performs diagnostic evaluation and emergency field service for MCCs. VFDs, all I & C equipment including analog, digital, pneumatic and electrical controls.


Provides 24/7 customer support as required.


Writes own trip reports and provides daily work reports.


Daily travel will be required.


Supervisory Responsibilities


May supervise the activity of support services engineers assigned to the project.

Education and/or Experience

AA degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two years related experience, or five years related experience.


Language Skills


Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


Mathematical Skills


Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


Reasoning Ability


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Computer Skills


To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Industrial Application software and Database software, and the ability to operate a PC.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations


Current driver's license.


CPR training.


Completed Industrial Certification programs such as Wonderware, Cisco, Cutler Hammer VFDs or verification of in-house training programs. ISA CCST or equivalent experience is desirable.


Other Skills and Abilities
