Summary Manages projects in the range of $100,000 to $5,000,000. Acts as account manager for assigned customers. Negotiates pricing and scope issues. Resolves conflict. Manages subcontracts. Assumes full responsibility for control of costs, schedule, quality, and customer satisfaction. Is a professional presence in representing FluidIQs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Consults with management and reviews project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of resources.
Develops project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources.
Formulates and defines technical scope and objectives of project.
Identifies and schedules project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.
Coordinates recruitment or assignment of project personnel including assignment of duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice.
Provides onsite project management as needed.
Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
Establishes standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
Monitors, controls and reports on job costs. Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules and plans as required.
Prepares project status reports and keeps management, clients, and others informed of project status and related issues.
Coordinates and responds to requests for changes from original specifications.
Assigns resources and coordinages customer-witnessed factory tests.
Coordinates project activities with marketing, sales, engineering, operations, customer support, and customer staff to ensure goals and requirements are met.
Supports FluidIQs sales department in development of large proposals.
Supervisory Responsibilities
May supervise 1 to 10 employees in the Engineering and Design Group, working on each project. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with FluidIQs policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems

Education and/or Experience
Desirable, but not required, BA/BS in electrical, civil, mechanical, structural or chemical engineering, or engineering management or construction management or business management with a specialty in one of those areas, and 7 years experience; or 10 years experience managing technical projects.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of Database software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software, such as MS Office Suite.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Current driver's license.
Desirable, but not required, certification as a Project Management Professional.
Other Skills and Abilities
Thorough knowledge of project coordination and management procedures.
Working knowledge of accounting practices.
May include ability to determine adequacy of owner's design and feasibility of implementation and/or consultation with and advice to consulting engineers, contractors, owners on design and operational features of proposed project.

Is able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
